Stephens & Smith Specialty Products teamed with Pearce Construction Group to provide a quality, polished concrete interior for Omaha’s new The Water’s Edge Church.
Specialty Products polished approximately 15,700 square feet of concrete, which included the floors, worship stage and hall, main atrium and children’s center. Other notable fixtures include a makeshift ark for the children’s area and a rustic overlap.
While Project Foreman Jesse Morris was pleased with the project’s overall outcome, he was even more impressed with several new employees who helped to deliver a quality product to the customer.
“They picked up everything quickly,” he said. “It turned out nicely.”
Morris said his team began work in February and finished in less than a month, noting the great partnership between his team and Pearce helped to expedite the project. Dan Pearce, Pearce Construction owner, said Stephens & Smith’s promptness was a factor in creating scheduling flexibility and finishing before Easter service.
“Jesse and his team were great at working around other trades,” Pearce said. “I was quite pleased on the follow-up in reviewing options during the process.”
On Schedule, the church opened its doors for worship March 18.
Pearce Construction and Stephens & Smith have worked on numerous successful projects together throughout the years, including the Glacial Till Vineyard & Winery in 2017.
“It is always a pleasure to work with Stephens & Smith,” Pearce said.
